As a software engineer in personalization, I developed and maintained streaming and offline applications for predicting the travel interests of users and suggesting searches for users based on partially typed input. In addition to actively developing software, I lead devops efforts within the team for our cloud based Kubernetes stack, ensuring developers could deliver software quickly and reliably. In order to improve reliability in our organization as a whole, I also contributed to cross-team efforts to ensure site reliability best-practices by establishing and participating in an on-call system for mission-critical, user-facing software and infrastructure.
