After a very successful 7 years as the VP Finance and CFO of Trillium Health Centre in the early 2000's, Brian made the transition to Interim Executive and healthcare consulting. During this time, he has developed a niche role of providing interim executive leadership capabilities when healthcare organizations are faced with the situation of recruiting a full-time person. Building on the philosophy espoused by the Executive Leadership Team at Trillium, Brian shares his practical approach to change management and problem solving termed “strategy drives budget” to help clients reach new levels of performance. This approach emphasizes high quality, safe care (the core strategy of any healthcare organization) to drive enhanced outcomes and financial performance. Throughout his career, Brian has had a passion for helping an organization to reach its highest potential through the development of systems and approaches to improve information for decision-making. He has over 30 years of experience in the areas of organizational performance, strategic planning and complex organizational change. Brian has worked extensively with Boards of Directors and Executive Leadership Teams on executive governance, leadership development, and organizational design. In addition, Brian has worked on numerous funding committees and six teams looking at organizational improvement of particular hospitals on behalf of the Ministry of Health of Ontario.
