As the Director, EHS for Environment & Regulatory, my role is supporting the Hess enterprise with respect to regulation evaluation, regulation applicability and overall compliance implementation strategies and compliance programs with respect to the topics of Environment and Regulatory. In addition, the role includes providing subject matter expertise support on topics including Waste, Water, Air, SPCC, SWPPP, Remediation, Asset Retirement, Corporate Radiation Safety Officer and assurance efforts within the enterprise.

As the Senior Manager of Environmental & Regulatory, my role is supporting the Hess enterprise with respect to rule/regulation evaluation, rule/regulation applicability and overall compliance implementation strategies/programs with respect to the topics of Environmental and Regulatory. In addition, the role include providing subject matter expertise support, corporate radiation safety officer accountability and assurance efforts.

As the Manager of EHS&SR Bakken, my role is supporting the well delivery services of the bakken project including drilling, completions (frac & flowback) and construction in North Dakota. The overall effort is continuing to develop programs and roll out improvement initiatives based off of needs and internal business customer’s expectations with respect to all EHS activities.

As the EHS&SR Supervisor, ND Support Services, my role is supporting and/or assuring environmental, contractor management and land transportation initiatives supporting the business functions of construction, drilling, production, gas plant and operations in North Dakota. The overall effort is continuing to develop programs and roll out improvement initiatives based off of needs and internal business customer’s expectations.

As the Senior EHS&SR, Environmental Lead, my role is supporting and/or assuring environmental issues related to construction, drilling, production, gas plant and other activities for the North Dakota business unit. Overall responsibility for environmental programs in order to maintain an environmentally sound workplace and to ensure compliance with the company’s policies/procedures and with local, state and federal regulations. Works with department managers and organization leads to define gaps in strategies and overall improvement of implementation tactics.

• Reporting to the Corporate Manager of Environmental, Construction and Maintenance, this position was responsible for a multitude of administrative activities.• Responsible for the development of a company wide integrated information management system including all environmental functions.• Responsible for administering all safety related programs for internal and external personnel and contractors. • Responsible for the preparation of G&A, operational and expense budgets in excess of $38 million annually. Also responsible for long term forecasts and environmental reserve estimating.• Responsible for managing eight professional scientist and engineers overseeing greater than 1,000 petroleum corrective active projects in fourteen states.• Responsible for the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the corporation is operating in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and protective of human health and the environment.• Responsible for the implementation of Responsible Care (RC) throughout SSA. Also, responsible for the development, implementation and execution of annual RC goals and objectives.• Development and implementation of programs designed to foster team building, associate training, and mentoring to create departmental efficiencies that led to a more productive and cohesive unit resulting in an initial savings of approximately $1 Million.• Monitoring potential regulatory changes and advising senior management of the potential changes and how they could impact the corporation.

• Reporting to the Corporte Environmental Manager, this position was responsible for a multitude of administrative activities.• Project oversight and direction for environmental activities on behalf of Speedway SuperAmerica LLC (SSA) for Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania.• Personally responsible for the management of all aspects of approximately 240 active assessment and remediation projects, construction, demolition and emergency response projects. • Preparation of budget with annual spending of greater than four million dollars per year.• Experience in estimating reserves for long term environmental liabilities.• Preparation and tracking of accruals of expenditures for the States discussed above. • Met or exceeded budgetary objectives established by Management.• Participate as the key liaison during multiple real estate tractions (acquisitions and divestiture) for the States discussed above.• Development of company wide programs (store closing procedures, computer data base application, environmental costs vs. construction costs during raze and rebuild activities, system O&M program, consultant scorecard and environmental co-op program). • Worked in unison with the reimbursement team to maximize potential returns from various state funds and insurance carriers.• Contract negotiations and administration.• Participate in a Emergency Response program that services all SSA active retail stores.
