Supervise patrol and dispatch officers to ensure safety, legality of actions, compliance with department policies and procedures, and the proper handling of assigned work and investigations. Conduct roll call to ensure officers are physically and mentally prepared for their shift as well as informed of previous 24 hour activity. Resolve officer complaints before escalated through a grievance process. Identify training needs based on observation of officer performance. Review crime statistics to determine trends and best way to deploy officers. Handle grant applications to ensure department receives additional funding. Manage evidence collection (discovery) requested by Brockton District Court, Plymouth County Superior Court, and attorneys. Keep up to date on all department policies, local, state, and federal laws and current police topical trends. Constantly game plan to ensure officers are showing progressive development and to what is necessary to ensure the organization is constantly improving.

Proactively seek out criminal activity, and when appropriate apprehend offenders and see the arrest process through until completed through court proceedings. Reduce the opportunity for criminal activity by conducting preventive patrols. Respond to emergencies of all kinds. Respond to citizen calls and assist in them as needed; most likely during a vulnerable moment of their life. Act in a coordinated manner when needed with other officers. Exercise authority and be accountable to superior officers. Speak with walk-in parties reporting police related activity. Act in a professional manner at all times. Field Training Officer: train new officers new to the department who complete academy training. Promote and preserve peace in the community.

Command a staff of 10-12 soldiers of various enlisted ranks. Responsible for overseeing the analysis, processing and distribution of strategic and tactical intelligence. Prepare all-source intelligence products to support the combat commander. Brief command staff and all personnel who need to know of various intelligence matters. Responsible for the site security of six military installation sites comprising the Battalion. Responsible for the personnel security clearances of all 600+ soldiers/officers of the Battalion. Received and maintained a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.

Responsible for the narcotics intelligence gathering within the Bristol County Detectives office of the Massachusetts State Police. This was a sensitive assignment as part of my work within the Counter Drug Program of the Massachusetts Army National Guard.
