Manager of the ExxonMobil Brazil R&D program in Curitiba Brazil. Our goal is to meet the ANP (Agency of National Petroleum) regulation requirement for R&D spending in-country. My team is responsible for connecting EM research needs with Brazil capabilities and obtain best research as possible with these funds.

• Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Manager over ExxonMobil Julia subsea pumping system (record highest pressure at 13,500 psi). Included subsea transformer, pump station, pumps, power umbilical, adjustable speed drives, HPUs, control system, multi-phase flow meters, etc. • Stewardship included management of $300M USD contract with local contractor (Framo Engineering, now OneSubsea) and numerous subcontractors across Europe/UK & US• Managed team of ±10 engineers (split between Houston and Bergen) through completion of FEED, detailed design, fabrication, construction, delivery, shipping, Site Receipt Testing in Gulf Coast, offshore load out, installation, start-up, and commissioning• Managed all technical progress, design reviews, issue resolution, contract changes, component testing / validation, site-testing, safety, HAZOPs, HAZIDs, etc• Manager at Site Receipt Testing in Texas before offshore installation in Gulf of Mexico• Managed over 200 deviation requests to our project specifications• Built excellent working relationships with Norwegian personnel and leadership

• Managed the Esso Angola offshore Block 15 subsea assets, including over 60 subsea trees, jumpers, manifolds, PLETS, PLEMS, flowlines, UTAs, HFLs, EFLs, Umbilicals, and Risers, all tied back to Xikomba, Kizomba A, Kizomba B, Saxi-Batuque, and Mondo facilities.• Managed the subsea team of 6 Angolan National subsea engineers. Conducted training, career development, knowledge transfer and mentorship.• Key interface / negotiations with Sonangol (Angolan state-owned oil company) for contract approvals and execution scope planning• Offshore vessel rep for multiple ROV campaigns, responsible for safety, job execution, and reporting• Executed multiple offshore ROV campaigns, including pipeline/riser inspection, jumper installation, jumper recovery, pipe cutting, SCM deployment/recovery, choke operations, flying lead installation and recovery, valve operations, valve repair, override tooling installation, jetting, dredging, cathodic protection surveys, and leak detection operations• Developed criticality ratings for subsea equipment, led multiple risk assessments, reviewed and approved procedures.• Developed subsea/pipeline operating procedures for late-life production, including scale squeeze operations, and cold start-up• Performed RCFA on several subsea equipment failures• Part of Marimba Project start-up team, including troubleshooting of equipment tagging issues that delayed production for 4 days• Developed abandonment plans/procedures for the decommission of Xikomba• Responsible for Xikomba tree recovery, refurbishment onshore, and quick turnaround during a sidetrack• Increased effectiveness and efficiencies of subsea well surveillance through creation of new surveillance tools in XL and PI (remote data access to offshore data) • Designed plans for and executed offshore operations to convert subsea gas injectors to water injectors (ExxonMobil first), and vice versa.

• Developed robotic conceptual design to increase speed of pipeline hydrotesting, with significant cost reduction. Led negotiations with vendor on intellectual property rights, cost sharing, royalty structure, development plan, confidentiality obligations, and all other key contractual terms/conditions for joint development. Concept patented: 8,256,270 at uspto.gov• Assisted Canadian Affiliates on Alternative Pipeline Hydrotesting Techniques• Researched pipeline pressure testing code, highlighting difference between air and water as the pressure test medium, and correlated this to integrity confidence levels • Participated in Remote Pipeline Construction Cost Reduction Initiative, and identified several cost saving alternatives / new concepts• 1 year assignment with Geoscience group to provide engineering and robotic assistance for their R3M project (Remote Reservoir Resistivity Mapping). Developed specifications for our ExxonMobil Marine Electromagnetic Transmitter design, including bid specification package• Performed trials of R3M electromagnetic system offshore California, Ireland, and Angola, and correlated real-world data with calculations/model• Developed screening guides for multiphase pumping, and delivered to our Project Group• Analyzed the performance of VASPS (Vertical Annular Separation and Pumping System) for application to fields in our portfolio.
