Previous experience:As a CPA with Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young), my audit clients were primarily small- to mid-sized organizations in the following industries: financial institutions, insurance, manufacturing and non-profit.As Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of First National Bank & Trust and Hasten Bancshares, our executive management team increased the market value of the bank by 60% by restructuring the investment and loan portfolios, reducing head count by 30% and changing the product mix for the retail branches. My responsibilities included, but were not limited to: accounting, tax, finance, internal audit, information technology, estate planning for the shareholders' families, trustee and administrator for the organization’s self-insured medical benefit plan, acquisition identification and analysis, and bank investments.
