In March 2023, I co-founded Bold City Soccer Academy with my family to create a thriving soccer community focused on development and competitive growth. Today, the academy proudly serves 300 development players and manages four competitive teams within the EDP league. Our primary training location is an outdoor facility at Fort Family Park, and we’re expanding to include a new indoor turf space at The Turf House, opening in February 2025. Through structured programs and experienced coaching, we aim to elevate players’ skills and foster a lifelong love for the game.

Over the past dozen years in the captive industry, I have been an actuarial analyst, manager and sales professional and have formed over 200 captives ranging from Fortune 500 Companies to small family owned businesses. My goal is to explain the benefits and potential hurdles to companies interested in forming a captive and create a customized program that is conservatively structured.

Started and successfully marketed a new captive niche for the fourth largest property and casualty brokerage. Formed and sold over 100 new captives over the past four years. In addition, aided in the identification of an acquisition to make Artex the largest micro-captive manager globally with over 350.

Marketed captive management services to large privately held companies. Responsible for developing "key" relationships with accounting firms, attorneys and insurance brokers on the East Coast.

Marketed to mid-size and Fortune 2000 Companies for 105-year old regional bank. Sold both traditional captives and micro-captives. Developed a successful business plan to originate new business by educating and forging relationships with accounting firms, law firms, insurance brokers and the bank's internal relationship managers, such as, commercial lenders and wealth advisors.

Underwrote for 85 mortgage reinsurance captives and two traditional sub-prime reinsurance agreements. Composed language for the mortgage insurance (MI) captive reinsurance and trust agreements and amendments. Complied with MI captive risk transfer requirements for HUD and FASB 110 by ordering and reviewing outside actuarial opinions. Conducted all new captive proposals/formations and presented pre-existing captive performance to UG's largest originators. Interacted with UG sales force, captive managers, lenders /clients, and other service providers to answer all captive questions.

Established a dance studio in 2002, which grossed over $200,000 in the 2004 calendar year and sold business for a net profit of $0.25 million in 2005. Recruited a staff of four part time dance professionals and complied with federal and Vermont state employment laws. Maintained the studio's accounting records, cash flow, financing, inventory, invoicing, marketing, and bi-weekly payroll. Organized the entire dance studio's calendar of events ensuring a high level of communication with the studio's 200 students. Managed several pure parent captives, a RRG insurance company, and a MI carrier sponsored cell (United Guaranty). The captive's regulatory, accounting, auditing, and actuary reporting requirements were primary responsibilities, as well as, coordinating the annual board meeting. Regulatory filing experience includes: (1) NAIC quarterly filings (2) Vermont annual blanks and (3) South Carolina annual blanks. Additionally, developed proformas, forecasts and feasibility studies for all mortgage insurance captives (in addition to other P&C lines).

Taught Small Business Management covering the specifics of a comprehensive business plan, and Macroeconomics focusing on monetary/fiscal policy initiatives.

Calculated captive insurance companies' pure loss and allocated loss expense reserves and premium flows (particularly for mortgage insurance, and to a lesser extent AL, GL, and WC). Responsible for actuary related SAP guidelines and reinsurance agreements for reserve estimates.
