During this time I have gained a good understanding of how the different businesses work and interlink which helps greatly when issues arise and figuring out ways to do things more efficiently. I’ve worked individually and as part of teams where deadlines need to be meet and schedules adhered too. Identify and implement process improvements where possible and keep up to date health file on Vendors. SAP was the tool used within the manufacturing environment. -

We provided a delivery service for the named clients and I worked with these clients on all their new products releases. I would receive plan/work back schedule for the product release and adhere to schedule in order to meet planned release date. Process went form creation of parts to having material in situ for planned FCS date. All details were added to our manufacturing system SAP. These clients’ teams were based in US and involved Daily/weekly meeting during release. -

My role involved managing the execution of the Cisco specific manufacturing/assembly and shipping operation. This involved shipping over one thousand units weekly within the EMEA region. I was responsible for daily delivery of metrics to the customer. For business startup I had to become familiar with Cisco manufacturing systems (Oracle) and networks, ensure training of all operational personal and managing induction of new personal and cross training going forward.

Harmonized Tariff coding and ECCN codes for customs purposes became critical part of exporting Products. HP had “known consigner” status so we needed to ensure products shipping out of facility had correct coding and were Export Compliant. We worked with Product groups to ensure no compliance exposure with regards to Licensing or Shipping products to Denied Parties or Embargoed Countries. If required we would liaise with the Export Licensing Unit within the Dept of Trade to get required license for Dual-Use goods. Other roles include the hosting of Global Trade Compliance audits on site. During this time I complete a course in International Trade with Electronic Business School of Ireland.

I was a member of a team that set up the automatic generation of AWB’s and billing. Other roles included supporting the annual RFQ process with vendors, SAP testing and design.
