I've worked in financial services since 1985. I have held several senior management roles in large insurance companies or providers and large advisory businesses. I am currently a Non Executive Director for the On Line Partnership Group and Chair of the Risk Committee. I have been fortunate to experience business life for both the manufacturer in investment or insurance products and their distribution in the advice market. After over 25 years with Friends Provident the last 10 years have been spent in the advice arena leading a large IFA Network and more recently with St James’s Place Wealth Management & as COO for Policy Services (and IFA business based in Scotland) and now Non Executive Director for the On Line Partnership Group.I have been heavily involved with acquiring and integrating businesses as well as the senior management and operations of advice businesses. Holding Control & SMF functions at a number of these businesses means I have developed skills and experience across most aspects of the financial advice industry including:-* distribution market expertise;* acquisition - overseeing the due diligence, disclosure and contractual processes;* operations & proposition development and * strategic projects and change management.In 2022 I have set up Galvin Consultants Ltd in conjunction with my wife Jane Galvin (nee Stevens) to offer firms support, consultancy or Non-Exec Director support to help them safely grow and develop client propositions and service delivery. Jane is an actuary but has significant senior management (MD level) experience in operations and client focused service and proposition delivery for large product providers and a consulting actuarial business.
