After a successful IT consulting and software career I founded Gillware Inc. in Madison, WI to provide data recovery services from failed electronic media. Gillware is now one of the world's most successful data recovery labs, currently recommended by Dell Computer, Micro Center, VMWare and many more. Our success at Gillware has allowed me to participate in many startup ventures. The first was co-founding Phoenix Nuclear labs with Dr Greg Piefer. Next was Gillware Data Services LLC(acquired by StorageCraft in 2016) to provide cloud backup and data analytics. I was serving as a board member for PNL when we decided to spin-off Shine Medical Technologies to pursue a Moly-99 production solution. In 2016, my business partners and I partnered up with digital forensics thought leader Cindy Murphy, incident response thought leader Nathan Little to form Gillware Digital Forensics where I served as Chairman from 2016-2019. Gillware Digital Forensics completed its Series-A VC round in early 2020 and is now known at Tetra Defense. Tetra Defense was acquired by Arctic Wolf in early 2022. I currently serve as Chairman/CEO of Gillware Inc. I'm an active angel investor, having made investments in Pacifica Labs(aquired), Exploros, Allergy Amulet, Wellbe, PNL(Phoenix WI, acquired), SHINE Medical Technologies, Gravy Live, URL Genius to name a few.

Over the years I've run just about every area of operations at one time or another. My longest stints were with building and training our storage engineers and software engineering groups, running our digital marketing efforts and growing our technical sales and customer service departments.
