Part of the executive management team and responsible for providing leadership, strategy, planning, and guidance for the fundraising efforts of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston Houston as well as the day-to-day management of the stewardship, events, and donor database operations. Provide leadership to the Development & Stewardship Committee of the Board of Directors.Working with marketing team to produce collateral materials to support fundraising plan and strategies. Coordinating with senior leaders and program directors to identify program needs and potential areas of support.

Work directly with the Foundation President and Board Members to achieve the fundraising objectives of CHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare and other CHRISTUS Health programs in the Gulf Coast Region. Manage a portfolio of approximately 100-200 prospects, and supervise senior level Directors of Development and a Raiser’s Edge Specialist/Prospect Researcher. In collaboration with CHRISTUS’ program leaders, determine fundraising priorities and develop cases for support, proposals and materials used for development and public relations. Currently, the Foundation’s fundraising concentrates on securing approximately $3 million annually to fund operations of various CHRISTUS programs that serve the poor including two primary care clinics, a mobile clinic program, 20 School Clinics, and a homeless program. Created and implemented a stewardship program to systematically and proactively thank, recognize and inform donors about how their gifts were used. Each report is individualized for the donor and tailored to their interests. Also, created a moves management system to track prospects through the cultivation process. This included putting in place goals for money raised and proposals submitted. Reports are generated weekly and track the fundraisers performance in relation to their established goals.Supervise all advancement services operations for CHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare including prospect research, gift processing and stewardship.

Responsible for prospect research operation and a staff that included a Coordinator of Prospect Research, Database Coordinator, and a Gift Processor. Managed staff members who entered and maintained all biographical data in Raiser’s Edge as well as ensure that new alumni, resident and adjunct faculty were imported into the database on an annual basis. Supervised the production of several reports gauging solicitor performance, gift expectancy and campaign progress from the Raiser’s Edge database as well as mailing lists for a number of publications and invitation lists. Oversaw the recording, acknowledgement and receipting of gifts made to UT-Houston and the production of pledge reminders. Ensured gifts were credited to the appropriate funds, appeals, memberships and campaigns

Conducted research on major donor prospects for the University of Houston System and its components as part of its $350 million Creative Partnership Campaign. Wrote research reports using standard library research tools, electronic databases and public records. Each corporate report contained the company’s history, key officials, a financial overview, as well as any links the company had to UH-System. Research reports on individuals included detailed biographical information, career track, business and community affiliations, and potential for giving. Also was responsible for the development of lists of major donor prospects for a diverse group of academic programs ranging from athletics to molecular design.
