Current•Support the Director of HSQ in the development of strategic initiatives to establish safety and operational excellence at HCC. Functions in a leadership role within the HSQ team.•Contribute to the development of new proactive behavior-based safety strategies and oversees the implementation of current strategies including the development of key performance metrics to help further develop HCC’s safety culture and reduce the frequency of workplace incidents.•Interface with the HCC field staff frequently (approximately 30%) to spread a message of consistency and accountability as it relates to safety, health, and environmental issues. Follow-up with field-staff as needed to ensure documented EHS-related concerns are addressed by field staff in a timely manner.•Receive injury incident reports and conducts thorough incident investigations including determination of root cause(s), lessons learned, and management of action items. Assigns action items to responsible personnel and conducts follow-up as needed until completion. Manages injury cases to the point of Worker’s Compensation Claim opening. •Design and engage in strategies to develop HS&Q and individual team members. This includes implementing strategies to grow employee knowledge base, organizational skills, and overall professional capabilities.•Utilize CC’s Environmental Management System for incident investigation follow-up and action item completion.•Contribute to management all OSHA-required programs and develops/reviews/updates as needed including primary oversight on HCC’s Industrial Hygiene Program and MSHA Training Program.•Drive Quality of operations using ISO model (develops and reviews SOPs, JHAs, etc.) as needed to ensure safe and quality operations. Communicates SOP/JHA requirements to field and conducts field audits to ensure consistency in safe operations.
