I have been lucky to have been a kid when dial-up was just changing to Broadband and fell in love with technology. I knew at that point that I wanted to be an Engineer and Programmer, and since then it has been amazing to see the journey that Tech has created. I started out as pretty normal CS graduate and started a Programming job automating stock trading strategies, but found I liked the testing aspect of writing code, due to the system under test being mainly a database with no frontend, this led me to my passion for Testing software and backend systems, I am that Engineer who happens to write test code. In my career I have had the fortune of wearing many hats, which I love because it allows me always to learn new things in my life and career. Although the majority of my learnings have been in Gaming, specifically Mobile gaming and F2P Mobile Games, my focus is on the backend systems that support the many facets of gaming today - I like to say there is nothing casual about Casual gaming anymore! In the past I have built a stock trading analytics platform, built automation frameworks for Websites in many languages, automated backend micro-service API’s, migrated on prem systems to the Cloud, and built many Stress and Load testing frameworks. Once I felt like I had a good grasp on tech I moved into management, where I got to learn a whole new skill set of growing employees, tracking projects, reporting, and architecture. From there I moved into Director level tasks, which were much higher level and entailed company and global strategy for quality, automated reporting, coordination between teams and projects, vendor shopping, and final sign-off for larger systems as well as directly managing a team. From there I moved into working with our Global partners on Programs and Automation that would be standardized across games and companies, created these programs, got executive sign-off, worked with partners, and finally started to implement these global plans leading to higher bar of quality in all aspects.My true passion is in the intersection of hands-on Technology and Managing people, but lately I have been very interested in Security, Cloud Technology of all types, Stress and Load testing, and overall quality programs, metrics, and reporting.
