14 years as an Educational Project Manager, managing a realm of installations from refurbishments to brand new School and College workshops. I come with a previous background of over 10 years in teaching and prior to my current role was a Head of the Technology Faculty at a large Comprehensive School in East London for 8 years. In this role I oversaw all D&T Areas including Res Mat, Graphics, Product Design, Electronics, System and Control, Art, Textiles and Food Tech. My first teaching post was as Head of Upper School D&T at a split site school in North Essex, specialising in A Level Design Technology, GNVQ Engineering and A Level Product Design.After leaving school, I completed a 4-year apprenticeship in purpose made joinery and worked as a bespoke Shop Fitter/Joiner designing, making and installing many commercial fit-out projects. My experience in the classroom means that I understand the rewards of teaching but also fully understand and relate to the challenges teachers face on a daily basis. Experience as a teacher along with an active background fitting and managing installations myself, means I am continuously ensuring customer needs are met to the highest standards.
