• Project intake, strategy, delegation, management, quality control, to result in a timely delivery and a high degree of customer satisfaction. Assume direct accountability for customer retention and bottom line success. • Develop and implement operational best practices, naming conventions, and file hierarchy for production environment. Conduct proactive monitoring and analysis to maintain a well-tuned environment supporting preproduction departmental, executive, and operational objectives. • Integrate new software and hardware to current workflow - determine file/job preparation and equipment operation procedures. • Calibrate and ensure accurate and consistent color fidelity between all color devices to improve efficient, predictable output. Prioritization of increased throughput, reduction of costs, minimizing waste, and stringent quality assurance on color-critical jobs. • Provide leadership, mentorship, training, and empowerment of preproduction staff as well as interdepartmental cross training. • Automate preflight and production workflow• Directly collaborate with production management team to plan odd/special projects. Interact with clients to plan projects, lend strategic thinking, or solve technical issues. • Variable data printing - prepare data, develop Javascript and templates to achieve client's desired results. • Related departmental responsibilities include: postal presort and certification using MailManager 2010, create imposition templates for digital and offset printing, print/fold/bind press mock-ups, plate generation via Avalon CTP for 40" presses, maintenance on AGFA Azura Plate Processor.
