Directs mission-related communications for JDRF, the world's leading type 1 diabetes (T1D) non-profit. Specifically, I work on communications on T1D research and JDRF's Advocacy efforts: grassroots lobbying, regulatory and healthcare policy.

I am responsible for centralizing and managing internal communications, the Online Response Squad and Speakers Bureau with the goal of engaging, inspiring, and motivating donors and key constituents on the JDRF mission. I write, produce, and manage communications materials and projects for diverse platforms and purposes to tell the JDRF story. The production of these communications includes understanding and enforcing messaging and brand consistency throughout JDRF National, Chapters, and Volunteers.

Worked with colleagues in Marketing and Communications to improve the quality and quantity of information that flows between the national office and JDRF chapters.This included managing and resourcing marketing projects for the chapters, brand management, working as the chief administrator for the company intranet, and communicating JDRF messaging to chapters and constituents.

Worked with the Major Gifts Department and Board of Directors to organize, coordinate, and implement programs that build and strengthen links to diabetic community. Wrote grant proposals, donor correspondence, and Board of Directors communications.

Worked as a member of the Walk Department to organize every aspect of the four New York City Walks, from Walk Day logistics to team building, corporate relations, all chapter social media, and fundraising

Researches and writes articles for about life with diabetes, diabetes research, complications, management.

Covered Congress for the AAU by attending hearings and summarizing them in daily reports detailing science, technology, and education legislation.
