I believe I've found a great company to work with and eventually retire at Sandlin Custom Homes.At the request of an employee and former colleague (later discovering there were actually 5 from our old company, with the addition of 2 more now, including my wife:-) I began my employment in May 2013, and initially managed six subdivisions scattered well over 100+ miles. "Thrown to the Dogs" as they say, but I also had great guidance and supervision.Not a stranger to high volume, but the "new wave" of buyers and the new energy star builder requirements, along with the "new form of vendor and city/municipality attitude" was something new to comprehend.My workload and drive time has been lightened a bit with the addition of new team members, but I am still consistently managing 15-20 homes at a time in three subdivisions.The products range from the $200,000's to $400,000's and beyond.(it all depends on how much $$$ a person wants to spend !:-)Since my starting date with Sandlin, I've built and closed to date approximately 50 homes and currently have a dozen on the ground,,,,just waiting for this wonderful, much needed rain to subside,,,,just a little?!?!? Life is good!! Thanks to God!!

I'm still searching for the opportunity to share my knowledge, skills and dedication to hard work, with an organization that could utilize my many talents to their advantage and success.Unfortunately, the abrupt downturn in the home-building industry took away my career opportunity to retire with a wonderful organization, Choice Homes.Since then I have re-opened the remodeling business I had for the 10 years prior to my nearly 11 years with Choice. I have also been involved in several musical ventures in studio recordings and playing shows, buying and selling instruments and occasional guitar instructions.

Initially in warranty and customer service, I became a building superintendent within my first year of employment in the largest market area at the time, Arlington, TX. Overseeing all phases of construction from start to finish, I was responsible for providing homes for hundreds of families in Arlington and Grand Prairie. When home-building was at it's height, I would routinely manage 30 houses under different phases of construction at any given time. Those were the days!!
