About Brian Herro
In December 2019 Medix Technology (then Alidade Group) reached out to me with an exciting new career opportunity: the chance to enter the field of Healthcare Information Technology (HIT), as a contractor at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.By February, I was training at Epic headquarters in Verona, Wisconsin, and about a year later, I was converted over from a contractor at Children's to direct full time employment. And I have to say that this has been one of the most challenging, yet rewarding experiences of my life. To this day it still seems surreal that I am an ASAP certified Epic Analyst.Even so, I am incredibly grateful for the winding career path that got me to where I am today. And I wouldn't trade my history and experiences for anything.Previous to HIT, I worked to promote access to quality care for Seniors. Before that, I worked mostly with children in the social services field. And while I am no longer in social services, it's nice to come full circle (in a sense), back to the provision of support for children in need of quality care. I sincerely hope that this is just the beginning of a long and successful career in HIT, and I look forward, with optimism, to what the future has in store for me.
Listed skills include Nonprofits, Case Management, Public Speaking, Marketing, and 8 others.
