Assuming the role of interim Facility and Sustainment Director during a four month gap, I coordinated the daily workload of 125 Local Nationals (LNs) and ten military personnel, while maintaining the region-leading metrics of executing a 97% on time completion rate. My team of ten personnel executing $1.9M in services and 5,800 preventative maintenance checks in electrical, plumbing, HVAC and minor construction projects to support Naval Station Rota facilities, ensuring steady support for 38 tenant commands and four Forward Deployed Naval Forces (FDNF) destroyers with zero mission delays. As DAPA I facilitated alcohol training and counseling for 43 assigned personnel,ensuring education in programs and support for junior sailors, and conducted 12 career developments, providing instruction for personal/professional success resulting in one reenlistment and one out of rate conversion.

As Detail Simba Assistant Officer In Charge (AOIC), I led seven personnel in the construction of 11 defensive towers and three defensive vehicle platforms allowing a 180-degree field of view, demolished five existing towers and cleared over 100 acres saving the United States Air Force over $700K and ensuring the protection of 277 personnel and $142M in air assets In Support Of (ISO) Exercise Octave Shield, resulting in my entire crew receiving the Air Force Achievement medal for their efforts.Assigned as the Region Ceremonial Detail Coordinator, I supervised training of 21 sailors in the completion of over 80 funerals ceremonies for fallen service members, my detail received base-wide recognition for their professionalism.

After attending Builder “C” School, I was awarded B13A Advanced Builder, Naval Enlisted Classification Code 5907 (NEC 5907), after this 16 week course where I ranked 5th out of 14 students and a final ranking of 95.77. This class shows us how to employ the principles and techniques of foremanship, mixes, places, finishes, and cures concrete, constructs forms for concrete construction, perform masonry construction, frame floors, walls, stairs, and roofs, erect waterfront, heavy timber and advanced base structures, and operates and maintains shop tools and equipment. These tools include electric saws, sanders, planers, routers, drills, and other mill-working tools.

Responsible for the day to day maintenance of facilities, self help projects, site approvals and project planning. Working with Naval Facilities Marine Corps Air Station Yuma (NAVFAC MCAS Yuma) to complete $407K in repairs to a collapsed major sewer line at Camp Billy Machen (CBM) with minimal impact to training, solved a complex water quality deficiency at the camp by working with host installation and health and environmental regulators to provide access to clean, safe water for trainees, and lobbied the Environmental Health Officer to secure stable potable water and implemented a water testing program at CBM, submitted 70 additional work request projects, valued at $750K, to enhance the quality of life at the training site, conducted safety in-briefs and procedural policies for 1270 personnel from 13 U.S and foreign commands, resulting in zero incidents or deficiencies in mission readiness, organized an electrical study correcting an electrical load imbalance throughout the entire complex eliminating training stoppages and lost man hours due to power lost, and convinced Host Installation to provide more frequent maintenance support saving 15% in after hours trouble call costs, supervised eight personnel in managing all camp operations in a remote, austere environment, coordinated all berthing and classroom facilities in support of Land Warfare training for over 700 personnel at CBM, managed and oversaw all facility and Civil Engineer Support Equipment (CESE) maintenance on 13 buildings, 37 ranges and training areas, enabling more than 50,000 man-days of safe effective training, submitted over 120 facilities work request and generated $1.2M in facility repairs and projects, manage $750K in fuel purchases, responsible for over $1.5M in construction projects and $375K in facility sustainment while enabling 2.8M man-days of range training, supervised a galley restoration project while ensuring uninterrupted meal service for over 175 troops training on site.

Project Supervisor of 15 personnel for an aircraft maintenance facility on Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, valued at $697K, including the planning estimating and construction of a 100' x 150' concrete pad and the erection of a Sprung Tension Fabric Structure, in direct support of the Air Force mission of counter terrorism. My crew overcame numerous logistical challenges, but were still able to meet challenging customer requirements on time, additionally I led 13 personnel on four projects, valued at $65K, in Rota, Spain to include the renovation of a barracks, construction of a sidewalk, a foot bridge and a drainage system to eliminate damage during the rainy system and improve quality of life for base personnel.

Achieving a sanitary sustenance water supply and improved quality of life for Special Operation Forces (SOF) units throughout Area of Operations (AO), additionally expertly assessed security deficiencies for a Special Forces fire base and developed a Force Protection upgrade package worth $60K, and designed a 3,000 SF Joint Operations Center for Special Forces Flag Officer Command in the New Kabul Compound, which allowed for full mission capability within limited space.
