Joined Cascadeon in 2014 as a member of the LLC. Leveraging product development experience in the renewable energy field, responsibilities include developing business opportunities and providing system engineering technical expertise in the capacity of consulting engineer for emerging renewable companies.

Working with executive team to build company core expertise in renewable energy power plant design and evaluation related to ongoing plant operations. Responsible for analyzing and modeling solar and energy storage systems using tools including Homer and Helioscope. Provide analysis and give guidance on performance of potential site acquisitions. Responsible for architecting asset performance data dashboard system, including make vs. buy decisions and working with consultants as required. Create strategies and research algorithms or tools for forecasting asset performance. Other responsibilities include assisting with the buildout of the technology team and focusing on technology planning and priorities.

Moved to Advanced Energy as part of the PV Powered acquisition. Reporting to the VP of RD&E, responsibilities as Senior Engineering Manager include leading product development efforts, managing engineering team personnel, resource assignment, program management and meeting aggressive timelines. Manage engineering team responsible for delivering high performing and reliable product designs to market on time and with high margins. Additionally responsible for tight coordination with teams across the organization to ensure smooth transfer of new product introduction.

An early member of the PV Powered technology team (employee #2), and key contributor to the success of this small startup company. Led a team of 14 engineers and engineering managers working in electrical, software, mechanical and compliance disciplines. Responsible to the VP Engineering for leading multiple product development efforts on residential and commercial inverter products that resulted in the capture of major market share and annual revenue growth to over $80M. Built and managed agile and effective engineering teams that were able to quickly design and develop differentiated and customer-focused products in a dynamic market. Co-inventor on four granted patents.

Contributed as a member of the Special Projects Team in Intevac’s engineering department. The Special Projects team was responsible for developing specialized solutions to difficult product challenges. I developed thin film hard disk and flat panel deposition product solutions for key customers in close cooperation with the team manager. Responsibilities included research, design and debugging of electrical, software and mechanical systems. I was also responsible for designing and running deposition process experiments on prototype process sources. My unique and broad understanding of the design and operation of deposition tools led to opportunities to be deployed overseas to ensure successful commissioning of equipment.

Responsibilities included installation, diagnosis and repair of two-way radios, trunking equipment and antenna systems. Maintained good customer relationships, often worked remotely.
