Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team to design commercial/industrial/military servers and small form factorcomputer products at the component, subsystem, and system level. Establish technical requirements, create models and prototypes, assemble prototypes, utilize technical engineering knowledge to guide design optimization, design technical testing procedures, test prototype designs. Model components using 3D modeling software, create technical drawings, communicate with component vendors and manufacturers, prepare BOM’s and send purchase orders. Perform preliminary calculations and create 3D simulations to predict stresses or assess performance and reliability of products under static, dynamic (shock and vibration), thermal and flow environmental conditions. Create thermo-fluid simulations of enclosed electronics systems using computational fluid dynamics software. Create scripts in VBA using SolidWorks API and SolidWorks PDM design workflows to automate tasks and improve ERP processes. Prepare and test products to pass military and/or industry certification standards.

Mentored students in advanced system dynamics concepts of vibration, modal analysis, feedback control, etc. for the senior level class "Intermediate System Dynamics". Held office hours, graded homework and tests, and reviewed course material with students. Convened weekly with professor to discuss classroom topics and grading procedures

Constructed a gearing mechanism and wrote a control code to allow multiple outputs controlled by a single actuator motor for use in satellites and car seats. Controlled motors using arduino electronics. 3D printed potential gearing combinations to observe outcome. Collaborated with Visionary Medical Group while working in the Interventional Robotics Lab to investigate ocular pressure transducers. Performed literature review on ocular pressure transducers and helped draft a National Institute of Health Small Business Innovation Research grant proposal.

Developed a robotic prosthesis concept for lower limb amputees that incorporates gear locking to control ankle push-off timing & a passive variable stiffness element to produce dynamic ankle power output. Conducted directed-independent research on ankle biomechanics & prosthesis design. Designed 3D model & performed Finite Element Analysis in SolidWorks, determined stress distributions, and validated stiffness calculations. Formulated a MATLAB script predicting effects of varied stiffness on ankle power.
