• Design tooling and fixtures as well as build, wire, and program machines to facilitate R&D and manufacturing of products I develop for Hive and other customers. For example, I designed an extrusion blow molder, a machine which performs numerous operations to prepare the molded parts to be filled with a fluid, as well as an automated production line for handling, filling, and sealing the molded parts.• Work directly with multidisciplinary teams to develop consumer products from concept through electronics layout and integration, fabrication, and launch into the public domain. • Responsible for mechanical design, drawings, and material selection, as well as coordinating all fabrication of parts with injection molders, machine shops, sheet metal factories, heat treaters, PCB manufacturers, and finishers (anodizing, powder coating…).• Perform machine design services for customers within the medical equipment field. • Perform all R&D in house, which enables me to rapidly prototype complex ideas in hours and vastly accelerate the product development process.• In 2013, I successfully designed and launched a personal hydration product which allows the user to select between water or water and electrolyte while carrying only water in their hydration pack (Eligo Hydration). • In 2015 I was instrumental in the design, coordination of fabrication, and the launch of Hive’s second in house product, the Edwin wallet.• Use SolidWorks for all mechanical design and drawings.

• Developed cutting edge catheter based implantable medical devices and delivery systems. • Designed automated manufacturing fixtures, secondary operation machines, and fatigue test machines. • Successfully developed, built, and implemented an automated catheter manufacturing machine with a 10ft^2 footprint, which incorporated modular and expandable stations that previously occupied a 400ft^2 cleanroom. • Responsible for writing validation protocols, executing them, and documenting the results as well as communicating with stake holders for their approval.• Used SolidWorks for all modeling, detail product, and vendor drawings.• Led the Maintenance and Calibration (M&C) department for 4 years, ensuring that all equipment, files, and cleanrooms met the requirements of ISO 13485.• Successfully defended M&C in over a dozen audits by ISO, the FDA, and the State of California as well as internal audits.

• Designed large backstops (freewheels) for conveyor systems around the world (both fixed and hydraulically releasable).• Worked directly with English and German speaking customers to help with troubleshooting as well as specifying new order requirements. • Worked closely with R&D and manufacturing, and ensured any feedback on design implementation was incorporated into current products and future revisions.• Used ProE Wildfire for all design and documentation work and adhered to DIN specifications where required.

• Managed the Exhibit fabrication shop.• Designed cutting edge mechanical solutions to enhance the exhibits function within the museum environment and improve user experience.• Ensured all projects were completed on time and within budget.• Coordinated activities across multiple departments to ensure seamless exhibit development and installation.• Fabricated custom exhibits utilizing all tools found in wood, plastic, and metal shops. • Developed tools to get the job done when the required tools didn’t exist (E.g. 3” hollow drill for boring a 3” hole at 45 degrees through 10 cook books at a time).

• Worked at Daimler Chrysler (Evobus) designing the cooling systems for fuel cells on 18 fuel cell buses tested in Europe. All assemblies were modular and easy to maintain.• Developed hybrid drive trains and natural gas conversions for Mercedes vehicles.• Designed and manufactured the battery frames for pure electric trucks.• Designed full drawing packages for bus superstructures • Handled all communications in German.• Used Catia CAD software for all design and drawing packages.
