The Foundation has been established to work alongside and support the work of the Norfolk Museums service and partner organisations by securing funds to develop new initiatives and projects. The current focus of attention is on raising funds to support the redevelopment of the historic keep at Norwich Castle Museum as a significant visitor attraction in East Anglia, and to tell the story (both bad and good) of the impact of the Norman Conquest. My own focus is on governance matters and the fundraising strategy.Member of the charity's Investment committee

Voluntary Norfolk is one of the major local support and development organisations in the UK supporting volunteers and voluntary organisations. The charity recruits, supports and trains volunteers for both its own projects and those of other voluntary organisations from the Volunteer Centre in Norwich. Voluntary Norfolk provides advice, support and training for voluntary and community groups across the county and works in partnership with voluntary and public sector organisations often taking on the role of Lead and Accountable body in the development and delivery of projects.Voluntary Norfolk operates Charity BackRoom; its own social enterprise providing a HR support and Employment Law service, DBS checks, training, payroll and bookkeeping services, health and safety, and insurance. The intention is to work with a range of other organisations to provide a comprehensive back office service to voluntary organisations and social enterprises.
