• Monitor and control Process plant and Utility systems using Citect DCS system, ESD and Fire and Gas panels in accordance with company procedures to maximise production.• Ensure the safe shutdown, isolation and blow down of plant during emergency situations.• Respond to process trips and unplanned equipment stoppages in a timely manner.• Acting to F&G/ESD alarms, provide the first response to any platform status changes• Provide familiarization and training to new Production Technicians joining the platform• Compile daily reports and enter accurate data into company software for production reporting, monitoring, allocation and hydrocarbon accounting.• Ensure comprehensive records and logs are maintained and effective handovers are carried out at shift and crew change.• Raise maintenance work orders using Maximo asset management software.• Perform emergency response duties as identified in the platform emergency response plan.

As a Production Technician I am involved in the monitoring and recording of plant conditions to optimize production in line with company policies and procedures. ISSOW permit trained as an isolating authority and area gas tester. I have been trained to carry out the design and application of mechanical isolations using P&ID’s to approved isolation standards. Experience with carrying out Task Risk Assessments and Tool Box talks for necessary production activities prior to carrying out the Task. I regularly take part in emergency training exercises and rapid response upon activation of the platform General Alarm. Responsible for monitoring of chemical injection rates and tank levels and making adjustments where necessary and decanting totes to maintain tank levels. Responsible for the safe operation of platform utility systems including Power Generation, Plant Air, Plant Nitrogen System, Open and Closed drains systems and Diesel system in line with platform operating guidelines. I have experience in Gas/liquid separation, Glycol dehydration and Glycol regeneration packages, Gas compression, Well head operation and its components and Product metering systems. I carry out routine sampling and analysis of production streams on a daily basis and report results to the Production Supervisor and Control Room Operator to carry out necessary adjustments if required. Carry out daily process readings including pressures, levels, temperatures and flows and report any abnormalities to the Control Room operator so that any corrective action can be taken. Carrying out plant isolations, line walking, pressure testing, de-isolation and start up and shut down of plant equipment prior to or following maintenance works being carried out. I actively participate in Safety walkabouts and have no problem stopping the job if the situation requires it. Provide oncoming shifts a detailed written log of all the days events to ensure the continued safe operation of plant conditions.
