Software developer with a passion for technology of all kinds.I wrote my first program when I was seven, copying it from a book on Basic into a Tandy 2000 computer, and haven't stopped coding since. I have over two decades of experience working with software and technology and graduated from MSU Denver with a B.S. in Computer Science.I'm about to end a 2 1/2 year contract working as a Senior Full Stack developer with Charter Communications and am excited to take the knowledge and skills I've developed into a new position.The majority of my experience has been in Python, Javascript, and Java, but I'm also proficient with C# and have recently worked on projects utilizing Go and C++. I have an interest in the intersection of law and technology and believe that programmers must be ethically responsible for the code that they write and the products they design.My recent, non-work projects have centered around NFC and smart card programming; specifically creating and testing frameworks for human implantable RFID chips. I'm finished beta testing one of the world's first Turing complete implantable chips.In addition to programming and software development, I also have an interest in the dev-ops side and enjoy running servers, cloud applications, and tools whenever possible. I'm very familiar with both Linux and Windows as well as tools such as Apache, Git, Postgres, MySQL, PM2, Jira, GitLab, and the full family of JetBrains IDEs.I believe that customer service is a key part of software development and I enjoy working both with internal and external customers.
