Responsibilities • Cold weather test engineer for the Chevrolet Volt• Perform technical evaluations and investigations on General Motors durability test vehicles to trouble shoot vehicle issues and measure performance to specifications/requirements• Liaison with General Motors global vehicle design engineering team to quickly resolve emerging field performance issues • Coordinate and execute test vehicle engineering updates (e.g. part changes, calibration, software)• Analyze and complete test reports from vehicle performance data • Kapuskasing cold weather center engineering contact for other General Motors test facilities• Develop climatic wind tunnel test procedures that simulate real world vehicle driving conditions that capture cold weather vehicle/development issues • Coach engineering co-op students in test execution practices.
