I was the 1SG for the Division Signal Company of 101st Airborne Division deployed in support of OEF XIV. I was responsible for the training, morale, and welfare of over 184 Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, DOD Civilians, and Contractors. During the deployment our Company was responsible for the communications in the entire Eastern region of Afghanistan.

I was the Platoon Sergeant for the Unit Hub Node (UHN) in the Division Signal Company for the 101st Airborne Division. My Platoon was responsible for establishing, and maintaining, the communications backbone for the entire Division of over 15,000 Soldiers. I was responsible for maintaining accountability of the maintenance of equipment that totaled in value of over 25 million dollars. I was also responsible for the morale, welfare, training, safety, and combat readiness of 28 Soldiers.
