Brian left consulting in 2020 and is now the CFO of Pilot Freight Services, a $1.3B freight and logistics company, owned by ATL Partners.From 2004 to 2020 Brian Grant was a consultant in the turnaround and restructuring field, helping companies overcome financial and operational challenges and navigate through often complex and dynamic situations in the context of restructurings, mergers and acquisitions and performance improvement engagements. During that time Brian led or supported nearly 40 corporate revitalizations, both in and out of court. Most of Brian’s work over the past 10+ years was in long-term senior leadership roles, including:CEO of Eckler Industries, Inc. (2017-2019) Led corporate revitalization of the nation’s largest retailer of auto parts and accessories for the classic car & restoration market; improved EBITDA from $4M loss to $12M profit over two-year period; implemented new IT systems and ecommerce platformsCFO of Hunter’s Specialties, Inc. (2016-2017) Overhauled financial management and reporting practices, including major restatement of prior years; helped to architect and implement turnaround plan which improved EBITDA by $15MCRO of Liberty Iron & Metal Holdings, LLC (2016) Led organization through a financial and operational restructuring, resulting in sale to Chinese conglomerate in an out of court transactionCEO of Del-Nat Tire Corp. (2014-2015) Orchestrated and led a turnaround and sale transaction which returned over $10M to equity who were previously out of the money; drove 25% top line growth during tenure from new customer acquisition and increased customer market share Brian was the recipient of the M&A Advisor’s “40 Under 40” and the Turnaround & Workout’s “Professionals Making Their Mark” awards in 2014 and the M&A Advisor’s “Turnaround of the Year” award for the successful receivership and distressed sale of Turkington Industries in 2013. Brian is a Certified Turnaround Professional. Brian, his wife Carolyn, and their two children live in Atlanta. Outside of work, Brian is an avid golfer, oil painter and woodworker.
