I am an IP generalist with extensive experience, both in-house and with law firms. After over 20 years of practice, I have worked in a wide variety of industries and technologies, including pharmaceutical compounds, chemical compositions, polymers, drug delivery forms, medical devices, mechanical devices, and even telecommunications. I have managed small teams for approximately 15 years, but also work independently on a variety of legal products (patent preparation and prosecution, agreements, opinions, strategy, etc.). At heart, I am a problem solver. My favorite work activities involve determining the facts, analyzing the best courses of action, and delivering advice. In fact, many of the high points in my career have involved fast-paced, responsive, direct, and occasionally bold, advice. A partner in a dynamic IP boutique, I love coming to work every day. Most of us would acknowledge that IP owners need an up-to-date business plan for leveraging their intellectual property. Sometimes, you already have the plan, and all you need is reliable counsel to implement your strategy in a timely and cost effective manner. In other situations, I take an active role designing the right strategy, and often act as an objective, pragmatic, sounding board at critical decision points. As a seasoned agreement negotiator, my experience has been that IP can be a strong force for bringing companies together. The key is allocating and protecting rights in a way that allows mutual benefit and flexibility in the future. I have a well-established track record of zealously protecting my clients, while being respectful of the collaborative spirit of the relationship. As important as it is to get the right agreement in place, it is also critical to maintain that positive energy. I deliver practical, business-oriented advice on managing relationships under an existing agreement as well. http://www.condoroccia.com/brian-j-hubbard Email: BHubbard@condoroccia.com
