I've had a number of jobs over the years where I was the back stop, or only, person supporting my organization; expected to do what was required to answer whatever issues or questions came up that no one else knew the answer or wanted to research. As a result, I've built up a wide variety of skills across a number of typically distinct job functions - software and release engineering, networking/management, system administration, even physical infrastructure and electrical.Career wise, this means I can slot in to a variety of positions, and bring cross-functional collaboration without technology religion out of the box. Further, I encourage cross training and distribution of what I know, and enjoy improving my own skill set to fill any gaps required to get a job done with an eye towards scale, ease, automation, and redundancy/resiliency. While I can't say I've been entirely failure free, my track record shows I'm usually successful.I'm also constantly learning new skills - most recently completing a 4 day course on advanced Python with a focus on items like meta classes and bloom filters, and refreshing some skills I haven't used in a while. If you're considering me for a position, I encourage you to ask me about my off-resume experience and skills, and how they apply to the job at hand.
