Director Of Summer Stem Programs
https://www.colorado.edu/sciencediscovery/CU Science Discovery is a science education outreach organization in the Division of Continuing Education at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Science Discovery collaborates with CU faculty, research groups, institutes, and graduate and undergraduate students to develop hands-on, inquiry-based programs for K-12 students that feature CU research in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) fields and model best practices in teaching and learning. I collaborate with the Science Discovery Director, Community Programs Manager, CU faculty, and numerous STEM graduate and undergraduate students to develop, implement, and evaluate innovative science education outreach programs that are delivered to K-12 students during out-of-school time. Science Discovery's Informal Science Education programs include a substantial summer class program that offers more than 230 week-long summer science camps annually, as well as after-school and weekend programming. I am also responsible for recruiting, training, and supporting university students working in informal science education programs.
International Baccalaureate Design Technology Teacher
Launched a computer and hands on International Baccalaureate STEM program that centers on product development using the Engineering Design Cycle. Successfully planned and budgeted for the implementation of 30 high and low technology, inquiry-based STEM units for students.
