Brian was recognized for his vast knowledge in undergound and was moved over from SLG/ Jasper. Brian was doing the underground portion of bidding for the NE Anthony Henday Drive $1 B+ project in Edmonton, and was working in Vancouver from March until June helping with the bid on the Evergreen Rapid transit project which is appx a $ 1 B + project and is now on the Heartland Transmission Line in the Edmonton area which is a 80 million project.

Provided liaison with and between The City of Calgary, Whissell Contracting, MMM Group, SNC – Lavalin, Hatch Mott MacDonald for all underground utilities in Area 2 & 3, with that he is responsible for all sign offs of all forced accounts with Whissell. Brian ensures that he adheres to all weekly assessments and attends the monthly mass safety meeting in the field. He prepares GDP’s and makes sure that they are completed within the allotted time. He was responsible for 6 different sub trades (Whissell, Standard General, LaFarge, Dobblyn, Telus and Enmax), his main being Whissell, he was responsible for appx 30 workers within Whissell Contracting.West LRT $1B +

Came into the business when Northstar were turning over just over $5million, Brian turned that around to $12.6million, $20million and $22million within 3 years all in the underground , sewer and water . Brian was in charge of bidding and pricing the work, through to the project management of the work including change orders, variations and submitting measurements of work for payment. Brian was also responsible for purchasing of materials , labour, plant and materials for the several projects and as the role grew he then progressed to more of the management of the project managers, superintendents, direct labour subs and plant and over all control of all aspects with regards to operations for the civil and underground section
