As the Assistant Store Manager I was responsible for opening and/or closing the store, creating the schedules for all team members, taking the store's daily deposits to the bank, as well as the general upkeep and sales performance of the store while the Store Manager was absent. I was expected to lead the team, along with the Store Manager, in our sales performance when it came to selling memberships, warranties, etc. and I delivered coaching to team members that were not meeting out sales goals to help them improve.

As the Store Manager, I ensure the Store stays efficient, profitable, and well maintained. My responsibilities include ordering the product on a weekly basis to keep the store properly stocked, delegating tasks to my team in order to stay efficient, coaching team members on any mistakes they make and dealing praise to good working habits, and to certify overall good customer service to all of our patrons.

I was responsible for leading and delegating tasks and projects for team members, providing guidance when needed, coaching and supporting the team through daily huddles to keep the team up to date on any sales, policy changes, or general product knowledge, and maintaining my department by keeping it clean, organized, and well-stocked on top of providing optimal customer service.

I managed the Crafts area of the camp by organizing an 8-hour program on a daily basis for the campers. This involved classes where I and my team members would teach the campers different kinds of crafts (i.e. leatherworking, woodworking, painting, etc.) and the proper techniques to use. I also communicated extensively with both children and adults in order to understand the best way to organize my programs and teach my lessons

I taught the safety requirements and basic skills of rock climbing and belaying, checked all equipment and ropes every day for safety, and led climbing excursions for adults and children outside the camp. I also supervised the climbing area through our normal, daily, climbing hours where the campers could practice their climbing and belaying abilities. I would enforce the proper safety precautions and provide help to the campers that needed it.
