After getting my MS in Structural Engineering I worked in Baltimore as a Professional Engineer and Project Manager in various disciples - bridge inspection, heavy highway, foundations, geotechnical. After gaining 10 years of technical experience I worked as a Business Development Manager for 5 years primarily focusing on Earthquake Retrofits in California. I own my own property business where I identify, purchase, renovate and manage rentals. I use my structural engineering and business knowledge to run over $1 million in assets in this business. I also perform property management and maintenance for short term rentals locally. My experience helps me in understanding permit processes, scheduling, price management and the power of sweat equity!On the side I enjoy teaching - mostly a mix of volunteer work, tutoring and personal training. I believe in strong relationships and giving back to the community, particularly in education.
