Working as part of the Access team to enhance a high-performance API that provided user management, routing, and authentication services for Marketplace and Medicare related applications, supporting millions of requests annually. I later transitioned to the Data team, where I contributed to the development and maintenance of the Healthcare.gov Data API, ensuring reliable and efficient service for millions of healthcare-related requests. In collaboration with clients and stakeholders, I provided technical assistance and ensured smooth integration of services. My work involved using a range of tools and technologies, including AWS (S3, EC2, ECS, CloudWatch), Splunk, New Relic, Docker, Confluence, Jira, and Terraform, to build scalable and efficient solutions. I primarily used the Go programming language and PostgreSQL database to support the delivery of secure, high-quality back-end services.

Continued R1Soft employment, under new ownership, hunting down bugs, optimizing and implementing new features. Became primary developer contact for two of the core products. Orientated multiple new developers and assisted them with their build environments and general know-how. Implemented new features into product which integrated with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including Glacier and S3. Added new build environment utilizing the Gradle build system and Artifactory repository manager.

Initially hired to squash bugs inside of a large established codebase in an unknown language (Java), which I quickly mastered. Worked with many new technologies including ZKoss web framework, Apache ActiveMQ, Google Protocol Buffers, cPanel, Virtuozzo and multiple embedded databases to name a few. Designed and developed multiple features in the product. Rewrote large sections of buggy messy code with functional, simple and readable code.

Wrote proprietary client and server applications for custom built hardware running Linux. Coordinated with hardware and software engineers in a team environment. Utilized C, C++, C# and Visual Basic programming languages under the Linux and Microsoft Windows platforms. Designed and developed software infrastructure to communicate with satellite and cable receivers.

Lead client and server developer in a massive online gaming project. Responsible for the design, documentation, creation, implementation and maintenance of all core functionality. Applications ranging from DirectX and SDL enabled clients to multi-threaded SQL enabled servers. Constructed several complete web sites in a LAMP Environment (Using HTML, PHP, CSS, MySQL). Created many administrative tools using VB6 and Visual Studio .NET (VB.NET, C#, ADO.NET Technologies) utilizing MySQL and SQL Server 2005.

Level 4 support engineer for a Tier 1 Internet Service Provider. Lead of Authentication team responsible for designing, implementing, supporting and documenting a large scale, fully redundant, scalable and secure Authentication Infrastructure. Created Solaris Packages of modified versions of SSH, WUFTPD, SUDO and a PAM module to support external authentication using RSA SecurID token fobs. Developed user-friendly web site where users could manage themselves, enabling them to resolve 90 percent of their issues on their own. Modified Tacacs and Radius daemons to support login caching using RSA SecurID tokens.
