With over 13years’ professional experience in the areas of program management, technical advisory, quality monitoring, reporting, development of strategies, and guidelines in the Philippine Red Cross in the field of Water and Sanitation and Hygiene Promotion (WASH), public health and disaster response and recovery.Tapped as WASH Specialist, he has been mobilized by the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) to lead the specialized training in hosted by various countries and National Societies from Europe, Asia, and the Pacific which were participated by various individuals from different RCRC National Societies. He represents the PRC as a member of the Global Urban RCRC WASH Advisory Group and a member of the Strategic Advisory Group of the Philippine WASH ClusterWorked with PRC since 2010 and gained extensive experience in WASH programs and projects in rural, per urban and urban contexts. His work experience is not only in long- term development programs but also in the emergency and post emergency contexts. He coordinated emergencies response operations and assisted in the facilitation, organization, and adaptation of WASH in emergency preparedness, response training and equipment management. In his main role is to ensure quality and timely programming, development of strategies and guidelines, ensuring compliance to standards and technical advisory to practitioners on WASH programming.In 2016 to 2017, he was assigned as the Operations Manager for Typhoon Haiyan to continue and complete the remaining 27 recovery projects worth 250M dollars which led to the completion of 80,207 houses, assisted 62,676 households, 116 schools provided with better WASH facilities and constructed 1,168 community-based WASH facilities reaching 31,894 people with access to WASH facilities, 94 health facilities built and reaching 64,650 people on community based and health first aid and lastly 536 classrooms built to promote better education for learners. In 2019, he was assigned to lead the Chapter Development Office which is the arm of the National Society to manage the 104 Chapters of the Philippine Red Cross.In 2020, he was designated as the COVID19 Response Coordinator which is concurrent to his positions. All responses of the Philippine Red Cross are anchored in the 4 pillars of COVID 19 Response which include surveillance, support to the health care system and authorities, community action and business continuity.
