Responsible for implementing all tools, infrastructure, and processes to build a comprehensive data platform used for all company-wide data services. The core components of our platform are Snowflake, Airflow, DBT, and various custom Python applications.Developed a highly optimized Python application for extracting data from a legacy SQL Server data warehouse into Snowflake. This tool yielded a 10-20x speedup for full-table extracts and cut compute/memory resource costs in half.Developed a custom Python library (built on Snowpark Python), to automate all bulk data loads, DDL, DML, and staging transformations for every pipeline running in our platform. This library is also being extended to support our data science and machine learning efforts.Designed and implemented our platform's schema management tool for non-technical users and business stakeholders. This tool manages/maintains all object metadata from source to destination systems, and provides a simple UI interface to automate all schema changes or updates.Developed a Python application for generating Airflow DAGs from pre-defined templates. This application allows our users to create, test, and deploy pipelines with minimal code. Lead engineer for a new custom risk & compliance data platform. Responsible for all table/schema design and query/performance optimization supporting daily use by 100+ risk analysts.Created a machine learning classification model that was 65% more accurate and 91% faster at flagging transactions/accounts in real time.Developed ETL data pipelines from dozens of distributed data sources to centralize all risk and compliance-related data requests.Developed a front-end reporting interface using the Tableau Server API supporting 200+ dashboards.

- Verifying the identity of buying accounts on the Raise Marketplace.- Overseeing testing and metrics for a new in-house Fraud-Prevention application. This involved working directly with our Software Engineers and Data Scientists to build a custom automated order processing system. - Analyzing orders/accounts and the individual attributes that placed them within the False Positive or False Negative rate of the automated systems. - Utilizing phone/email verification software to confirm if an order was a False-Positive for fraud and the buyer was legitimate. Each agent would take between 10 - 30 verification calls per day. - Analyzing and categorizing order/account attributes that led to False-Negative. Responding to Chargebacks and formal financial disputes with the credit card companies. - Manually reviewing orders that fail both the in-test and current automated security systems. On average 300- 400 orders would have to be analyzed each day.- Establishing legitimate bulk-buying accounts ( <$5,000 per month). All bulk-buyers have to be verified with a valid ID (Drivers license, State ID, or Passport/Visa). - Utilizing 3rd- party security software and SQL database reporting to identify accounts violating the site's Terms and Conditions. ex. (Multiple accounts, buyer brand restrictions, ACH accounts, pre-paid cards)

- Worked within a select team of 4 to undergo a 3-month project where a backlog of card refunds and seller debts had reached a total of 20,000 cases, which added to upward of $3 million dollars in un-recouped funds. The project was finished 2 weeks early and a new machine-learning based refund model was created. - Analyzing purchasing and consumer behavior within the Raise marketplace to create predictive models to predict refund costs and trends.- Identifying fraud trends and patterns from both buying and selling accounts.- SQL-based reporting and analysis of refunds and card issues. - Cataloging and organizing bulk-buyer purchasing behavior and refund trends. Bulk-Buyers spent between $5,000 - $30,000 per month on Raise. - Reviewed and resolved an average of 280 - 300 cases (card orders) each day. During the dedicated project, each agent was analyzing 1500 - 2000 cases per day.
