I have worked in the field of drug and alcohol addiction treatment since 2008 with my first job at Caron Treatment Center. During my 10 years at Caron I held several positions; including the CA Supervisor of the Adolescent Boys unit as well as the Clinical Quality Analyst. I have served as the Drug and Alcohol Program Specialist with the Council on Chemical Abuse (COCA) since 2017. While at COCA, I established an Overdose Education and Naloxone distribution program in Berks County distributing over 10,000 doses of Narcan and training countless individuals on how to recognize and respond to an overdose. I conducted over 500 post naloxone interventions as part of the Blue CARES Law Enforcement program I launched in 2019. I led an expansion of Blue CARES in 2021 which empowered officers to divert individuals to treatment instead of filing criminal charges.In March 2022 I began working as the membership coordinator for the Pennsylvania Peer Support Coalition.The Pennsylvania Peer Support Coalition is a statewide network of people who use their own experiences with mental health and/or substance use to support others. We believe that everyone who offers support to others deserves support too. The Coalition offers this support. We provide trainings and education about peer support and recovery, and we help create professional networking groups. We also advocate for the needs of people who provide CRS and CPS services.In May 2023 I left the Council on Chemical Abuse to begin working for Chester County Drug and Alcohol as the Opioid Settlement Coordinator.The views I express on this site are my own and do not reflect any official view or position of the County of Chester.
