  Brian Kapp is Senior Vice President of Ascension Benefits & Insurance Solutions and President of the Nevada Division. Brian started his own firm and merged with Ascension in April 2010. Brian saw a need for a more proactive and consultative approach to helping employers purchase and manage employee benefits programs. Keeping this in mind, he formed Ascension Benefits & Insurance Solutions of Nevada by assembling a team of professionals that would provide employers with the necessary resources to manage their benefit programs more effectively and efficiently. These include administrators, financial managers and analysts, clinicians, behavioral experts, and consultants.Brian also serves as the lead consultant for many Ascension Benefits & Insurance Solutions clients. His wide range of formal employee benefit training and experience allows him to provide expert consulting in virtually all employee benefit areas. His main focus is on healthcare management and his philosophy is based on the belief that the most successful employers proactively manage the health of their populations. He provides employers with targeted strategies for managing the health of their populations to achieve more cost effective healthcare programs.Brian also serves as the executive director of The Nevada Business Coalition for Health Improvement (NBCHI), a Las Vegas based coalition of innovative employers championing health improvement strategies and health care system improvement. He previously worked for Unum Group as a group benefits sales consultant and later for Morrissey Insurance as an employee benefits consultant. He earned a B.S. in Sociology from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
