At build-out Novus will contain approximately 4.5 million SF of Class A office space, 4,100 urban multi-family residences, 1,000 hotel keys, and 275,000 SF of retail, restaurant and entertainment space. Co-led daily development activities, including due diligence, master planning, entitlements, real estate marketing, negotiating 99-year pre-paid ground leases and ancillary agreements, developing and enforcing design standards, district infrastructure planning, and community management. Coordinated teams from multiple Catellus offices with respect to company’s vertical retail and office development opportunities in Novus.

Led and managed daily activities of privately-held multi-family design, development and property management company. Gray Development was named top multi-family builder by Ranking Arizona 10 times in 12 years. Gray developed approximately 30 properties totaling 8,000 units in the Greater Phoenix area and downtown San Diego. Prior to appointment as President, previously served as Chief Operating Officer for Gray. Oversaw all planning, development, and construction operations in that capacity. Represented company with city staff and executives, boards and commissions, elected officials, neighborhood groups, and citizen activists on all projects and policy issues.

Led non-profit, public-private partnership responsible for fostering the economic health and revitalization of downtown Phoenix, including managing a 90-block business improvement district. Implemented marketing, security and hospitality, transportation and parking, economic development, urban design, streetscape planning and maintenance, and policy advocacy activities. Also created and managed the affiliated Downtown Phoenix Community Development Corporation to facilitate development of affordable/attainably-priced housing and to leverage unique redevelopment opportunities. In addition to leading Partnership staff, served as chief advocate and spokesperson for downtown Phoenix’s core.
