As a registered Architect, Certified Passive House Consultant, and LEED accredited professional, Brian has extensive knowledge in the design and documentation of green buildings. He has worked as a project architect and lead designer in various projects ranging from single and multi-family residential, office, industrial, warehouse, healthcare, retail, civic, convention, arena, transportation, and recreational facilities. These projects include new construction, adaptive reuse, and upfits to existing construction. In addition, he has worked on master plan studies for historic districts, transit corridors, housing and mixed use developments, churches, and business parks. A majority of these projects emphasized sustainability, and respect for historic and natural context.His sustainability knowledge spans both the architecture and building performance fields. As a Certified Passive House Consultant, Brian has conducted energy inspections, models and HERS ratings of single & multi-family residential and commercial buildings. In the inspections and ratings, buildings are tested to evaluate the airtightness of the building envelope, duct systems, and the efficiency of HVAC, lighting, appliance, and hot water systems.
