Installation Solutions: Installation of Cerner Millennium code on multiple client and server side computers in an automated fashion. Millennium Services: Create RESTful services for retrieving Electronic Medical Record data using industry standards (UCUM, LOINC, hDATA). Search: Index Millennium content for search related applications.Accomplishments Reduce Total Cost of Ownership Reduce downtime on the system during software upgrades on average from several hours down to thirty minutes. Reduce total time of upgrade process Installation, registration, and configuration of software on client and server side devices were done through a central program which eliminated the need for system engineers to manually repeat work on multiple machines. Updates could be done in a rolling fashion to reduce the amount of time users would be off the system. Design and implemented RESTful services running on Websphere application nodes that allowed non-Millennium (internal and third party) applications and services to consume Millennium data. Implement framework for crawling updated Millennium content used for a cloud based service to assist in detecting the conditions that could result in sepsis for a patient.
