Currently seeking new opportunities as an experienced Operations Manager/Electrical Support Engineer/Maintenance Consultant in the oil & gas or renewable energy industries.Part time, full time or ad-hoc opportunities staff or contract will be considered.

Provide technical input in ensuring reliability of equipment, within area of responsibility (Electrical equipment), is maintained including input into RAM, Criticality and FMECA studies, within a team environment.Interrogation of existing client maintenance strategies and procedures, Written Schemes of Examination and Standard Texts, and extraction of relevant data for incorporation into new Master maintenance strategies.Assist in establishing and updating maintenance strategies including recognition of aging and obsolete equipment.Review and approve amendments to electrical equipment operational procedures, including, isolation standards, system and equipment testing, run to failure (RTF) etc.Ensure that the condition and operation of equipment is in line with overall procedures, regulations, any unit-specific procedures and client Performance Standards.Develop common electrical equipment maintenance and inspection strategies and practices, to ensure sharing of best practice across all projects.Provide input to electrical equipment studies such as HAZID / HAZOP, SIL and design reviews, to ensure legislative compliance and safety of personnel and equipment.Participate in the preparation and evaluation of technical bids and tenders.Attend reliability workshops and provide input as electrical discipline authority.

Provide support in the following areas directly to the Director of EM Diagnostics Ltd Meet with EMD’s clients after electrical condition monitoring reports are submitted as part of EMD’s professional service.Follow up after the submission of invoices to clients to confirm the clients have received the invoices, establish progress on processing and close to the date of payment verify with the client the date EMD will be paid.Keep in personal touch with EMD’s contacts as part of PR and professional services.After quotes are submitted, follow up and determine when a purchase order will be issued and the expected date of mobilisation to onshore/offshore installations/assets.Carry out any other associated technical duties assigned by the director of EMD.

Key Responsibilities · Management of Electrical Integrity issues.· Ensure compliance with industry standards and directives· Provide Electrical Technical Support and advice to NSPS Personnel.· Liaison and co-ordination with NSPS personnel, sub-contractors and Clients.· Timely delivery and quality of all deliverables against agreed plans and budgets.· Provide specialist support with regard to the required inspection, fault analysis, repair/remedial strategy and acceptance testing of equipment returned for investigation repair and/or overhaul.· Analyse and diagnose plant and equipment problems.· Carry out and maintain the authorisations assessment process for Electrical personnel.· Assign or undertake other roles and responsibilities, within competence, of other designated roles within the organisation.· Provide day-to-day onshore Electrical technical support.· Provide Technical input/approval for projects.· Participate in support call-out rota with other disciplines.· Contract Management of specified sub-contractors and NSPS business partners.· Representation of NSPS at meetings or seminars of UKOOA Electrical Interest Group, IET, Energy Institute, Offshore Europe Aberdeen or any worldwide seminars.· Continuous review of NSPS specifications and standards to ensure operational needs are met.· Provide support to Engineering Group as Technical Authority on ad hoc issues.· Ensure Electrical safe working at all times· Electrical onsite support to assets as required (onshore in UK or onshore Overseas)· Ensuring work is done within budget and schedule· Constantly striving to improve the way we operate· Technical support for procurement service division

Accountability for the following:Personal safety performance & compliance with prescribed HS & E policy and procedures.Providing support to offshore multi-asset Production Operations, focusing on the following areas:HV & LV Switchgear / Systems, UPS, Batteries, Electrical Protection Systems,Lighting & Small Power, Hazardous Area Equipment (EX) Trace Heating & Power & Generation / PMS .Ensure the routine safety and business critical “vendor supported” maintenance activities are planned and executed as per maintenance strategies.Ensuring SCE work scope compliance and backlog reduction.Effective contractor management and budget control.
