-Independently researched the parameters that govern the behavior of a hydrothermal system, particularly the effects of drought on the periodicity and strength of geyser eruptions.-Used a finite element 2D flow model to simulate the system’s response to varying boundary conditions.-Interpreted time series flow data to determine which parameters (conduit diameter, bedrock permeability, basal heat flow, depth to water table) have the greatest effect on the behavior of the hydrothermal system.-Found that as the water table depth lowers, geyser strength (peak eruption height) and time between eruptions have negligible measurable change. The most significant variable for these data is conduit permeability.
