• I was tasked with Magistrate and High Court Civil Litigation which has provided him with vast knowledge of this respective subject and considering that he has since been in Civil Litigation during infant stages of his legal career.• I therefore always undertook to draft all legal pleadings and some of the High Court pleadings would then subsequently be settled by the Advocate would have briefed.• As a firm and as an individual they had been involved in big Litigation matters in the SCA.• I have been involved in commercial litigation which he also acquired basic knowledge whilst doing his articles with Webber Wentzel and have since continued to advance himself in this field. Seeing that I was the main person dealing with commercial litigation the firm invested in him by offering me an opportunity to attend a commercial law courses offered by the Law Society of S A in conjunction with the Law Society of Ireland. • This was an empowering exercise which bolsted my knowledge in field of commercial law.• I was at a greater extent been involved with the Department of Rural Development and the Department of Land Affairs and our relationship with them began few years ago in our head office branch in Cape Town.• We represented several individuals and communities in eviction maters on instructions received from the said departments. • The evictions varied from farm labourers, occupiers and evictions in building in the cities which are allegedly illegally occupied. We have also advanced interests of individuals on a pro bono basis. Labour Law• I have partially practise labour law which i developed interest in which he was under the employ of Schindlers Attorneys and I have since appeared in the CCMA and the Labour Court.• I have been involved in Mediation, Cancellation and Arbitration processes. • I further assisted in formulation of judgments in cases where our firm was appointed to be an adjudicator or handle a disciplinary hearing.

• I was employed in the commercial and civil litigation department and was allowed to handle my own matters independently and was responsible for the drafting of necessary pleadings and updating clients of progress thereof. • I was involved in drafting of commercial agreement between legal entities.• I amongst other things acquired negotiations and networking skills which ensured that you were able to independently build your own client base. • It was all this time when I started to be involved in Labour Law disputes, and rendering legal advise upon request by client to avoid potential disputes.• At this stage I was also introduced to MVA work and we were representing the claimant or individuals against the Road Accident Fund. • Though it was not a big practice but I did get an opportunity to supervise two candidate attorneys who were basically assigned to assist me in all the matters I was handling. • I was also tasked with assisting them acquire the necessary skills needed in the legal profession and further evaluate their performance and report back to our superiors.• In the period I was with the firm I was only designated on those two departments only. • I was in my team also involved in prominent litigation matters and our practice was mainly high court with limited magistrate court work which was in most cases collection work on behalf of insurance company claiming from the 3rd party.• Furthermore I was independently involved in Immigration Law and was mainly focusing on assisting specifically our corporate clients who were S A based with amongst other things their work permits and business permits and further assisted in setting up here in South Africa.• Some of the work was done in conjunction with reputable immigration agents who were also our clients.
