I worked in the utilities department which involves;1. Troubleshooting and maintenance of machines in adherence with the standard operating procedures, preventive, predictive and shutdown maintenance.2. Machine operation, in adherence with the standard operating procedures and ensuring that demand is met, via use of Human Machine Interface (HMI) and SCADA.3. Use of SAP to raise notifications and work orders.4. Driving best practices such as Visual Management where I was the deputy lead and Steps to Milestone such as electrical energy reduction STMP to improve the Key Performance Indicators.5. Problem solving via use of tools such as RCPS (Root Cause Problem Solving), 5 why’s and DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control)6. Learning on safety and policy moments so as to operate with no accidents and with adherence to the company’s ethics and code of conduct.7. Audit scoring and reviewing of SIC (Short Interval Control) books and boards to ensure adherence to health and safety policies in the working environment, adherence to the company’s policies and code of conduct, and check for deviations from the set parameters of operation.8. Occasionally performing quality inspection for water and by checking for various parameters to ensure that they meet the required standards.9. Assisting in planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and ensuring its completion.10. Taking part in continuous improvement (CI).11. Taking part in 5S best practice (sort, shine, set in order, standardize, sustain) and CILT (Cleaning, Inspection, Lubrication and Tagging)
