I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in actuarial science at Maseno University, where I learn to apply mathematics, statistics, economics, and finance to various risk management problems. I am passionate about data science and insurance, and I seek to develop my skills and knowledge in these domains through academic and professional opportunities.As the ASSK Representative for Maseno University, I work with the corporate world and other universities to organize and participate in inter-university events, such as seminars, workshops, and competitions. I also mentor and guide other actuarial students and help them network with potential employers and mentors. As an iTAR Ambassador, I connect mentees and mentors in the actuarial profession, source jobs and internships, and write content for blogs and newsletters. Additionally, I have completed an internship at CIC Insurance Company, where I analyzed and modeled data, performed market research, and assisted in product development. These experiences have enabled me to enhance my data science and insurance skills, as well as my communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. I am motivated to use my skills and competencies to contribute to the actuarial profession and the society at large.
