CurrentTechnical Lead for design, development and maintenance of multiple generations of an advanced real-time recording and retrieval platform for audio, video, and textual metadata trusted worldwide for mission critical communications in Emergency Services (911), Military, Government, Air Traffic Control, Infrastructure and Financial environments in over 49 countries.Role:* Analyze customer requirements and design solutions; provide design documents and technical guidance to software engineers and oversee the technical aspects of their work* Code and Debug the most challenging elements including device drivers, Linux kernel modifications, systems development, and network protocols* Resolve "Top Tier" support and production issues and ensure successful deployments*Mentor and guide Software Developers and assist with their technical growthExample Projects:* Designed and Developed extensible IP Recording Engine which continues to be a cornerstone of our platform's versatility and success* Implemented standard compliant ED137 interfaces for air traffic control; successfully performed multilateral testing; and deployed worldwide at airports and air traffic control facilities* Developed standard compliant P25, Tetra, DMR, and NXDN Radio Interfaces including cryptography, and over-the-air rekeying support* Successfully led dozens of projects to integrate with a myriad of VoIP and RoIP equipment using both standard and proprietary protocols including radio systems, computer aided dispatch consoles, telephony, and calltaking systems.* Spearheaded effort to port and modernize large codebase and redeploy to platforms including VMWare and Amazon Web Services
