Main responsibilities include portfolio analysis on Company’s $100B portfolio, evaluating potential M&A opportunities, and maintaining our relationship with our external portfolio managers. Prepare and perform statistical analysis on Company's portfolio for management use to guide the investment plan. Partner with external portfolio managers to providing reporting and expert analysis. Provide management with selected variance analysis of actual to expected results and provide recommendations. Investigate and evaluate potential M&A opportunities acting as a liaison with senior management. Develop and maintain effective working relationships senior management and portfolio managers.

Greater Chicago Area

Manage all areas of an engagement on financial services clients which includes: creating and implementing an audit plan, creating and maintaining a client relationship, directing and reviewing staff work, and monitoring budget goals. Research and resolve technical accounting issues related to the audit procedures, client product offerings, and investor relations. Perform analysis of company operations and internal controls in order to evaluate the effectiveness of current processes and recommend improvements. Work with investment managers to analyze client products before they are brought to the market for SEC compliance, methodology, and price valuation. Monitor trade settlements and corporate actions on secondary products for the clients.

Responsible for the creation and maintenance of a PeopleSoft derived database to support firm-wide strategic decision making. Created and accountable for the projections and budgets for the Southwestern United States and Far East offices. Developed and managed monthly job performance indicators. Served on merger transition team as a key subject matter expert in specifically identifying non-legal staff synergies. Recommended and implemented cost reduction program. Performed numerous complex- both financial and operational- studies at the request of senior management.
