This was accomplished by closely observing specifications and designing products to exceed specifications by design, without having to add supplementary safety features or safety guarding devices.• Created production assembly procedures and engineering process procedures for ISO9000 and QS9000 compliance.• Led teams in developing design FMEA’s on existing products, leading to designs and design updates based on risk priority scores and mean time between failure data.• Proposed, designed, and implemented a pressure formed ABS machine shroud design project resulting in a yearly cost savings of $432,000. The project included over 75 modular parts to cover 4 sizes of one complete product line. Including engineering time and a one time tooling investment of $56,000, the project payback was less than 3 months.
